3DSecure presents a modern security method for card payments over the internet. To confirm the payment, you must submit the unique authorization code that you have received by a free SMS. 3DSecure security is available for all types of payment cards and its use will be free of charge for all cardholders.
3DSecure protects card when paying over the internet.
When you make card payments over the internet using this security, you do not need to remember any passwords! We will send you a 3DSecure authorisation code by SMS to your mobile phone at no charge.
When you make card payments over the internet at 3DSecure merchant, the delicate card data will be disclosed only to the bank that authorises your card payment.
Do not forget to block your payment card as soon as you notice the loss or theft to avoid any unauthorized misuse by calling the UniCredit Bank Customer Service Line at 800 14 00 14 or at +420 221 210 031 when calling from abroad.
Immediate blocking of the card will prevent unauthorized transactions in case that someone steals your card or mobile phone.
3DSecure protects your card against unauthorized usage only in case you pay at 3DSecure internet merchants. The authorization code is sent to the mobile phone number registered in the bank.
Purchase by card at 3DSecure internet merchant is as safe as standard payments through internet banking.
Can I pay immediately by payment card over the internet?
Payment cards are automatically locked for payments without the presence of the card, including card payments over the internet.

You may need to register your mobile phone number to be used for internet payments with 3DSecure.
Can I use my new payment card for internet card payments right after I receive it?
All new payment cards are issued automatically locked for any use.

Change of mobile phone numbers is performed immediately after their registration by the client and confirmation by the bank.
All internet merchants supporting 3DSecure are marked with one of the card association trademarks MasterCard SecureCode a Verify by VISA.
Most verified internet shops in the Czech Republic currently support secure card purchases using 3DSecure.
If any internet merchant does not support 3DSecure card payments, the transaction will be executed without using the 3DSecure authorisation code. However, with these card payments we cannot guarantee the highest level of security when using the payment card.
Therefore choose preferably 3DSecure internet merchants that allow you to make secure card payments over the internet.
Card payments at 3DSecure internet merchants will not be allowed.

If you have entered the 3DSecure authorization code incorrectly, you can repeat the entry. You have a maximum of 3 attempts.
The payment card will be locked for payments at 3DSecure internet merchants. Other card payments may be executed without limitation.

You will receive an authorization code by SMS to your mobile number registered for 3DSecure whenever you pay with any of your UniCredit Bank cards. It is possible to register only one mobile phone number.
First, make sure that the internet merchant, at which you are making your purchase, supports 3DSecure (information on how to recognize a 3DSecure internet merchant is available in the section “Payment with 3DSecure”).
If you do not receive an SMS message with a 3DSecure authorization code, please repeat the payment and/or call UniCredit Bank Customer Service Line at 800 14 00 14, or +420 221 210 031 when calling from abroad.
If you lose your payment card, it is necessary that you immediately have it blocked against further use. To block the card, please call UniCredit Bank Customer Service Line at 800 14 00 14, or +420 221 210 031 when calling from abroad.
The employees on UniCredit Bank Customer Service Line will immediately block your lost payment card against further use and arrange the issuance of a new payment card.
After the new payment card is issued, the mobile phone number registered for the original payment card will still be used for executing internet payments.
If you lose your mobile phone, please contact your mobile operator in the standard manner.
We recommend that you check that you have not lost your payment card as well. In that case, it is important to block the payment card through UniCredit Bank Customer Service Line.
Do not forget to change your mobile phone number for 3DSecure on the Customer Service Line in case your mobile operator assigns a new phone number to you.
For safety reasons, we recommend to all cardholders not to insert any delicate information about payment cards or PIN on the mobile device.
Register your mobile phone number through the Customer Service Line, Online Banking or at any UniCredit Bank branch.
Only one mobile phone number may be used for reception of authorization codes.
The phone number may be changed at the Customer Service Line at 800 14 00 14 (or +420 221 210 031 when calling from abroad) or at any UniCredit Bank branch.
The mobile number will be changed immediately after the request is made and confirmed by the bank.
For all cardholders is obliged to use 3DSecure.
For security reasons, all payment cards are locked for internet card payments.

Use the card only at websites with a secure data transfer (SSL protocol) – the address bar in your internet browser will read https:// and display a padlock icon.
At internet merchants, however, it is not possible to guarantee the maximum level of security, so we recommend greater caution.
Internet merchants websites supporting 3DSecure have to contain card association trademarks VISA or Master Card
For any payment by card over the internet, the required data include the card number, validity and the CVC2/CVV2 security code (three numbers next to the signature stripe on the reverse side of the card).
If both your card and the internet merchant support 3DSecure, you will also be requested to submit a 3DSecure authorization code sent to your mobile phone.
You can use any of our MasterCard or Visa cards. All debit and credit cards issued by UniCredit Bank support the 3DSecure service.
