It is possible to draw cash from any ATM in the Slovak Republic or abroad which is marked with the same logo as the one shown on your payment card. For this transaction it is always necessary to enter your PIN code.
The Bank charges its clients who withdraw cash from ATMs only the fee specified in the valid UniCredit Bank Price List.
Surcharge for use of the card in ATMs
If you withdraw cash from a foreign ATM, the ATM owner may charge you an additional fee for using the ATM.
The owner of the ATM should inform you about the additional fee on the ATM screen (e.g. the fee amount, the name of the owner’s ATM, etc.) in the same language that you have chosen to use the ATM.
If you do not agree with the fee, you should be able to cancel your cash withdrawal. This fee is not charged by UniCredit Bank.
You can also withdraw cash with the card over the counter at the bank, in the offices of other banks, and in currency exchange offices which are labelled and offer the so-called Cash Advance service. The cash being withdrawn is paid out only in the currency of the country where the service is provided.
Cash Back is an automatic service combining convenient payment by payment card for services and goods, and cash withdrawal. For card payment at a merchant in the Slovak Republic, it is only necessary to apply for the handover of cash.
The cash withdrawn is included in the total limit of your payment card.
Card payment at a merchant is carried out mainly through an electronic terminal or mechanical scanner, the so-called imprinter. When making a payment, the transaction is usually confirmed by entering the correct PIN code, signing the receipt from the terminal or holding the contactless card in close proximity to the contactless terminal.
The Bank charges its clients who make payments by card at a merchant only the fee specified in the valid UniCredit Bank Price List.
o In some countries, merchants can charge a surcharge for payments made by payment card added to the total price of purchase.
o Such a surcharge is left to the discretion of the merchant, and its amount may not exceed the cost demonstrably associated with the merchant’s costs for the acceptance of payment cards (e.g. a telecommunications fee, and the like).
o Merchants are obliged to report the surcharge to card holders in advance, mostly by written notice displayed at the cash desk in a shop. This fee is not charged by UniCredit Bank.
Use the card only on websites which have secured data transmission (SSL protocol), there is https:// in the address bar of the web browser, and the padlock icon. For payment by card on the Internet, the entire card number is usually provided, the card validity period, and the CVC2/CVV2 security code.
Never provide the payment card’s PIN or the associated account numbers and passwords.
The UniCredit Bank payment cards allow for the most secure method of card payment at online merchants by using 3DSecure.
You can order goods and services by telephone or by post (the so-called MO/TO payments) using your card. Before confirming an order, consider carefully each time whether the merchant is credible (for instance, whether the merchant publishes the complete address, complaint rules, and the like).
For more information on UniCredit Bank payment cards, see the Manual for Payment Card Holders.
